上海朗閣的校長(zhǎng)沈彥說,還有一些中國(guó)學(xué)生經(jīng)常存在的問題,從嚴(yán)格意義上來講,并不是一些錯(cuò)誤,只是說被中國(guó)學(xué)生用爛掉了,所以雅思考官聽到就會(huì)吐了。比如說:
1. a lot of
這個(gè)詞組并沒有什么錯(cuò)誤,只是當(dāng)所有學(xué)生都在用的時(shí)候,它就自然而然變成了錯(cuò)誤的。我們可以用很多替代的詞,例如:There are tons of people in the classroom; I have been to like a million interviews 等等。
2. I think
中國(guó)學(xué)生很喜歡用一些stereotyped 答案。比如說考官問你問題的時(shí)候,很多學(xué)生就習(xí)慣于回答 I think… 其實(shí),從英語角度來講,I think代表一種不確定性,所以當(dāng)你在表達(dá)觀點(diǎn)加上這么一個(gè)詞的時(shí)候,就是表達(dá)一種不確定的概念給考官,所以建議考生們盡量避免這個(gè)表達(dá)。
3. Maybe
很多學(xué)生用maybe來表達(dá)probably的概念,其實(shí)這是大錯(cuò)特錯(cuò)。Maybe翻譯成中文,更加確切的意思,表示應(yīng)該怎么樣,但是這種可能性并不大。比如說:
Since you are so incredibly talented, maybe it's time for you compete for the Emmy Awards. (諷刺)
George W. Bush administration has always been standing in the way of other countries' economic development. Maybe they love to present themselves as a pain in the ass to the world。
上海朗閣的校長(zhǎng)沈彥還提醒,對(duì)于大多數(shù)學(xué)生來說,要想在考試中取得較為理想的口語成績(jī),不應(yīng)該把重點(diǎn)放在積累大量詞匯上,而是應(yīng)該注重基本單詞的正確應(yīng)用。
